A life-saving nail polish by Undercover Colors
Undercover Colors is a company founded by 4 undergraduate students at North Carolina State University. Stephan Gray, Ankesh Madan, Tyler Confrey-Maloney and Tasso Von Windheim had an incredibly useful – and potentially life-saving – idea.
They created a nail polish that would be able to detect date rape drugs in your drink. According to Undercover Colors, all you have to do is to dip one of the lacquered fingertips in your drink, and if date rape drugs -like Rohypnol, Xanax, or GHB- are present, the nail color will change.
Since date rape drugs are colorless, odorless and tasteless this is a really powerful tool for every woman and it could also become a great deterrent, because potential perpetrators know that this significantly increases the risk to get caught.
